Faith can feel like this too. Even when we cannot yet see the outcome, God may be working beneath the surface, bringing growth and goodness from what still feels unfinished.
David wrote these words from a place of difficulty, and yet he could still testify that the Lord was good. His circumstances were uncertain; God's character was not. So the invitation to taste and see is not a promise that every season will be easy, but a call to draw near within it and discover for ourselves that refuge can always be found in Him.
