In Matthew 6, Jesus speaks directly to the worries that fill ordinary life: what we will eat, what we will wear and what tomorrow might bring.
He does not tell us that these needs are imaginary or unimportant. Instead, He draws our attention to something His listeners could see for themselves.
Look at the birds.
They do not sow crops or gather food into barns, yet their heavenly Father feeds them. Then Jesus asks the question at the heart of the passage:
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Our confidence is not in a life without need, but in a Father who knows what we need. The birds are not forgotten by Him—and neither are His children.
William Morris’s bird-and-strawberry pattern feels especially fitting beside these words. The birds sit among ripened fruit, winding stems and carefully drawn flowers. It is a design full of small details worth noticing, much like Jesus’ invitation to pause and pay attention to the care of God already visible in creation.

A beautiful print, with the words to ‘Be Still My Soul’ underneath. The print color is exactly what I saw on the website. It is on sturdy stock, and came in a timely manner. I will order more from this company!
