The Story Behind The Print
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1
Psalm 19 begins with David looking upward.
The heavens have no voice, yet they are constantly saying something about their Creator. Their scale, beauty and order proclaim a glory far greater than themselves.
That is what makes this wide cloudscape feel so fitting beside the full psalm. The sky seems to stretch beyond the frame, filled with shadow, light and movement. It is the kind of scene that makes us feel small—and turns our attention towards the God who made it.
But Psalm 19 does not end with creation.
David moves from the heavens to the Word of God. Creation tells us that God is glorious; Scripture brings His truth near. His Word revives the soul, gives wisdom, brings joy to the heart and light to the eyes.
Then David turns inward.
Having seen God’s glory and heard His Word, he becomes aware of his own need for grace. He asks God to forgive hidden sin and ends with one of Scripture’s most beautiful prayers:
“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight.”
There is a beautiful movement through the psalm—from wonder, to revelation, to transformation.
God's glory draws our eyes upward.

A beautiful print, with the words to ‘Be Still My Soul’ underneath. The print color is exactly what I saw on the website. It is on sturdy stock, and came in a timely manner. I will order more from this company!
