The Story Behind The Print
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1
Psalm 19 begins by looking up.
The heavens speak without words, yet their message is unmistakable: creation bears the fingerprints of its Creator. Beauty, scale and order are not ends in themselves; they are signposts pointing beyond themselves to the glory of God.
That is what makes this cloudscape feel so fitting beside the psalm. Great clouds rise across the sky as light breaks through them, creating the kind of scene that makes us feel wonderfully small.
But David does not stop with creation.
Halfway through the psalm, his attention turns to something even more specific: the Word of God. The heavens reveal His glory, but Scripture tells us who He is, what He loves and how His people are to live. David calls God’s Word perfect, trustworthy and radiant—truth that revives the soul, gives wisdom and brings light to the eyes.
And then the psalm becomes deeply personal.
Having looked at the heavens and listened to God’s Word, David looks inward. He asks to be cleansed from hidden faults and ends with the prayer that his words and the meditation of his heart would be pleasing to the Lord.
That movement is beautiful: from wonder, to truth, to transformation.
God does not reveal Himself simply so that we might admire Him from a distance. His glory draws us near, His Word searches us, and by His grace, our lives are changed.

A beautiful print, with the words to ‘Be Still My Soul’ underneath. The print color is exactly what I saw on the website. It is on sturdy stock, and came in a timely manner. I will order more from this company!
