Not by trying to appear impressive, but because Christ dwells in us by His Spirit. As we remain in Him, His life becomes visible through ours—in mercy, courage, generosity, forgiveness and faithful obedience.
These good works do not earn us God’s love. They are the fruit of grace: evidence that Christ is changing us from within. Paul could say, “To live is Christ,” because his life no longer belonged to himself; it had become a display of the beauty and worth of Jesus.
That is the purpose of the light. Not that people would stop and admire us, but that they would look beyond us and glorify our Father in heaven.
Like the sea in Clement’s painting, we shine because we have received the light.

A beautiful print, with the words to ‘Be Still My Soul’ underneath. The print color is exactly what I saw on the website. It is on sturdy stock, and came in a timely manner. I will order more from this company!
