This verse does not deny the tenderness or transience of life. It names it clearly. Grass withers. Flowers fade. Seasons change. Much of what seems secure to us proves far less lasting than we hoped.
But the comfort of Scripture is that God’s word does not fade with them.
His promises are not temporary.
His character does not shift.
What He has spoken remains true.
