The Story Behind The Print
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Psalm 46 is not a psalm about escaping into quiet surroundings.
The earth gives way. Mountains fall into the sea. Waters roar. Nations are in uproar.
And in the middle of all that noise, God speaks:
Be still.
In context, these words are more than an invitation to slow down or quiet our thoughts. They call us to stop striving—to loosen our grip on the illusion that everything depends upon us—and recognise who God is.
I am God.
That is the centre of the psalm.
Our confidence does not come from finally arranging life into something manageable. It comes from knowing that even when the world feels unstable, God is not. He remains our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
That is what I love about this Lake District scene. The mountains rise dramatically around the water, yet the lake below lies almost completely still. The landscape holds both power and peace at once.
Faith can feel like that.
The circumstances around us may remain larger than we can control, but we do not need to become sovereign over them in order to rest.
God already is.
Be still does not mean that nothing difficult is happening.
It means that, in the middle of what is happening, we can stop trying to be God.
He will be exalted.
He will remain faithful.
And He is our refuge.
What Makes Our Prints Different?
We only sell prints we would hang in our own home.
Every piece is made to order on 200gsm FSC-certified® paper with a soft matte finish; thick, textured, and substantial in the hand. The kind of paper that makes a print feel like art rather than a poster.
Frames are FSC-certified® too, sourced from responsibly managed forests, and each order is printed locally to you rather than shipped halfway around the world; arriving faster, with up to 67% lower carbon emissions.
Nothing is mass-produced. Every print is made when you order it, for you.
Beautiful vibrant picture! I would share a picture but the frame I ordered to go with it I have to trade out. But the print is wonderful and the scripture near and dear to me and my daughter’s heart. This picture is for her bedroom. She loved it as well! Her room is white and creams. This green with the white is perfect and stands out but in a classic unique pattern with the best scripture.
We just received this today, and have in hanging in the office. We love the way it looks and the material it is made out of. I can't wait to hear what clients have to say. Thank you for a great product!
Anne was most helpful. My first print was damaged upon receipt as was the packaging. I reported it to Anne and she immediately contacted me and offered a refund or a new print. I had a new print.
I have been very pleased with the service I have received and would thoroughly recommend this company. Thank you very much .
It’s arrived! And it is really wonderful Thankyou so much, I was so excited I gave it to my husband there & then, he too likes it very much and so now we are deciding where it should hang. I really love the way you have made the colours so close to our room decor once it is hanging on the wall it will look like it’s meant to be there the greens especially blend in so well.
It’s going to have a prominent place in the room and will promote many conversations fulfilling your mission of Christian Art Company.
God bless you in your continuing ministry.
Thankyou so much

A beautiful print, with the words to ‘Be Still My Soul’ underneath. The print color is exactly what I saw on the website. It is on sturdy stock, and came in a timely manner. I will order more from this company!
Beautiful! I ordered the Emmanuel print as this is my hubby’s favorite hymn. He absolutely loves it! We agreed this will stay up all winter, not just for Christmas. I think I will order another one for summer/fall and will rotate the two. Fast shipping too!
Couldn't be more pleased with not only the art, but the customer service as well. Our art was lost in the mail and Anne followed up and shipped out a new one!
Thankful for the custom art feature to display our favorite verses from the Bible.
I custom made a print using my mother in laws favourite bible quote and favourite William Morris art. What a combination, I know she will be thrilled. I was so happy to be able to custom design the print, I will definitely order more for myself and my daughter using different designs. The order came within a few days and the quality is perfect.
